Key Responsibilities

• Manage the daily operations of the shelter site to maintain a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for residents and staff
• Supervise, support, and provide performance feedback to shelter staff, including case managers, residential aides, and security personnel
• Ensure adequate staffing coverage across all shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed
• Monitor compliance with agency policies, DHS/HRA requirements, and applicable city and state regulations
• Respond promptly and professionally to emergencies, incidents, resident concerns, and crisis situations
• Conduct routine site inspections to ensure cleanliness, safety, security, and facility maintenance standards are upheld
• Work collaboratively with clinical teams, case management staff, and external service providers to promote resident stability and progress toward housing goals
• Review and maintain accurate program documentation, including incident reports, logbooks, and other required records
• Lead staff meetings, trainings, and performance improvement efforts
• Support conflict resolution among residents and consistently enforce shelter policies, procedures, and rules
• Monitor facility inventory, supplies, and operational needs and coordinate with maintenance staff and vendors as necessary
• Prepare required reports and provide program updates to senior leadership
• Foster a trauma-informed, client-centered environment that promotes dignity, respect, and safety for all residents
