Job Title: Mechanical Assembler - 2nd Shift

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembler for our first shift team. You will play a vital role in assembling and installing various components such as ladder racks, foot runners, partitions, and shelving units into vans. This position requires strong knowledge of hand and power tools and the ability to read assembly diagrams. The role involves working Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturdays based on order volume.

Responsibilities

• Install ladder racks, foot runners, partitions, and other components into vans.
• Pre-assemble shelving units and start by building cabinets.
• Utilize hand and power tools effectively.
• Read and interpret diagrams similar to furniture assembly instructions.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and assembly diagrams.
• Experience in mechanical assembly and general labor tasks.
• Knowledge of tape measure usage for precise measurements.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Interest in vehicles and mechanic-type work.
• Physical ability to stand, lift, bend, twist, and squat for extended periods.

Work Environment

The work environment is non-climate controlled and requires steel-toed footwear, jeans or work pants, and a work shirt. Contractors are provided with eye and ear protection, as well as gloves. Personal tools such as screwdrivers, wrenches, and hammers must be brought by the employe

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wentzville, MO.

The pay range for this position is $20.50 - $20.50/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
