Position Summary

One Source is looking for a polished, detail-oriented Housekeeping Supervisor to lead our evening housekeeping operations at The Ritz Carlton in Truckee, CA. This person owns the guest experience from late afternoon through the close of the day. They oversee turndown service, direct the housekeeping runner team, respond promptly to guest requests, and keep every guest room and public space at the level of cleanliness, presentation, and personalized service expected of a luxury resort. The ideal candidate leads by example, anticipates guest needs after they are voiced, and takes pride in the small details that make a stay memorable.

Responsibilities

• Plan and assign turndown sections based on occupancy, VIP arrivals, guest preferences, and room types, including suites and villas.
• Conduct shift meeting for turndown attendants at the start of each shift.
• Make sure turndown is done to brand and luxury standards.
• Direct and dispatch housekeeping runners to fulfill guest requests promptly.
• Monitor request response times through the resort's service-tracking system and make sure requests are closed out properly.
• Handle escalated or complex guest requests personally, especially for VIPs and suite guests.
• Coordinate with Front Office, Guest Services, In-Room Dining, and Engineering on requests that cross departments.
• Inspect guest rooms, corridors, lobbies, restrooms, and other public spaces during the evening shift.
• Report maintenance issues promptly and follow up to confirm they are resolved.
• Maintain cleanliness and presentation of back-of-house areas, linen rooms, and housekeeping closets.
• Lead, motivate, and support the evening housekeeping team with a professional and guest-focused approach.
• Train new and existing team members on turndown standards, luxury service etiquette, safety procedures, and chemical handling.
• Give ongoing coaching, recognition, and constructive feedback.
• Address attendance, conduct, and performance concerns in line with resort policy and in partnership with management and Human Resources.
• Model gracious, discreet, anticipatory service in every guest interaction.
• Respond to guest concerns or complaints quickly and professionally, and take ownership of service recovery.
• Enforce key control policies, including issuing, tracking, and retrieving master keys and key cards.
• Make sure all team members follow OSHA, SDS/chemical safety, and resort health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of housekeeping experience in a hotel or resort, with at least one year in a lead or supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of housekeeping procedures, turndown standards, and cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, reach, push, pull, and lift throughout the shift
